APPS ME Bahrain Chapter and Pakistan Embassy Bahrain organised Medical Camp

1st medical camp was organised where multiple physicians and surgeons from different specialties joined in to serve approximately 250 patients.

Success story was published in Bahrain local news paper as well.

APPS Middle East First Anniversary Minutes

The anniversary was perfectly hosted by Dr Rahmat Ullah Khan, Vice Chair of APPS ME, County Chair Kuwait. It started with recitation of Holy Quran. Dr. Abdul Hafeez, Founder of APPS UK, Co founder of APPS Global, formally started the event with opening remarks. He thanked the members for their participation.

Dr. Abdur Rehman Shahid, Founder of APPS Europe, Co founder of APPS Global, introduced APPS Global and main achievements of its different segments.

A short video was played about Clean birth kit project by Dr. Sadia Malik. CBK is a combined History Changing Project of APPS ME and APPS Europe, to prevent maternal and infant death post delivery.

Dr. Ghazala Anwar, Chair of APPS ME, County Chair KSA, introduced APPS Middle East and appreciated how it has progressed in the past one year and how every member has contributed to its progress. Moreover described how APPS Global has achieved a Milestone by establishing APPS Nursing Chapter.

Then different Country Chairs were asked to talk about their chapters for few minutes. Video of Kuwait chapter with national song was played to revive the national spirit.

Dr. M. Waqar Saeed, President APPS Middle East Chapter, then spoke about Journey and Vision of APPS ME and their quick progress due to efforts of country chairs and their teams.

Mr Musatafa Rabani, Deputy head of mission Pakistan in Qatar, was invited to say few words about the organization. He appreciated all the efforts and extended his support towards increasing employment of healthcare providers in Qatar. He invited APPS team from Qatar to meet him personally at their earliest to discuss the prospects.

Prof. Javed Akram, Vice Chancellor of University of Health Sciences (UHS) was invited as Chief Guest and he spoke about University of Health Sciences (UHS) and its programs. He encouraged the APPS team to join (internal Medicine group) and informed about the upcoming events in UK and Dubai. He also spoke about Health leadership programme and asked the participants to involve in it.

He approved APPS ME request to accept GCC Hospitals experience as training requirement of MD/MS after full filling the University protocols.

Furthermore he declared that he is already had meeting with Health Officials for the recognition of MD/MS degrees in the region.

The Allied health professionals which included male nurse and pharmacist were requested to share their experience with APPS.

The event was concluded by Dr. Ghazala Anwar, Chair of APPS ME, County Chair KSA, who thanked all the participants and especially the Chairs for their contribution towards a successful event. She was honoured by the presence of Chief guest and thanked him for his time for the event. She ensured that APPS will definitely collaborate with him in different endeavours.

Overall it was a well-organized event which covered APPS progress and achievement in a comprehensive way.

APPS Middle East pledged to keep working on Mission Pakistan and Mission Humanity. Pakistan Zindabad....!!!

APPS ME has achieved another Milestone. 🎖️🏆🇵🇰

In first Anniversary meeting,  Prof Javed Akram , Vice chancellor of University of Health Sciences UHS LAHORE has announced and approved our request to accept GCC Hospitals experience as training requirement of MD/MS after full filling the University protocols .
