Meeting with Ambassador Pakistan, Riyadh Embassy

Dear colleagues

الحمدالله

Today, We had a private fruitful meeting with Ambassador Gen. Bilal Akbar sahab .

Discussed many issues regarding KSA, important are as follows

1. Pakistani Schools and special kids education.

2. Free Medical camps facilitation in different cities .

3. Establishment and running of Welfare Medical Centers, under Umbrella of Pakistani Embassy.

4. APPS - NATION BUILDING PROJECT;

Delivery of Medical, Motivational, lectures, BLS trainings in Pakistani schools, by APPS Physicians. ( also to encourage Physician's young kids studying in medical schools/universities to participate in such activities in order to have early interaction with Pakistani community and to develop their personal skills, hence they can carry our Mission).

*** Mr. Ambassador appreciated APPS efforts and promise to support us on each step.

1. KSA government allowed to open Medical centres and private schools without any Saudi citizen involvement.

2. Embassy already contracted with a welfare organisation in Riyadh and started registering kids in school for Special kids.

3. Loved and agreed to support us in

BMJ NEW EDITOR IN CHIEF

BMJ NEW EDITOR IN CHIEF:

APPS Global and UK congratulates Dr Kamran Abbasi on his appointment as the new editor in chief of The BMJ ( British Medical Journal). He will take up the post on 1 January 2022.

It’s a proud moment for APPS UK as Kamran Abbasi has been APPS UK Executive Member.

Welcoming the appointment, BMJ’s chief executive, Chris Jones, said, “ Kamran’s editorial experience, clear sense of purpose, and strong commitment to The BMJ’s values of credibility and integrity are what distinguished his candidacy. We are proud to appoint a British Asian to this important role. This is a first in our history, but Kamran is also the first person of Asian origin to be editor in chief of any of the top four international medical journals.”
